Frequently asked questions

What is the fastest ferry from Spain to Morocco?
Tarifa–Tangier, at roughly one hour. It is the only route that sails straight into Tangier city centre.
Do I need a passport?
Yes. This is a border crossing between Spain and Morocco, so a valid passport (and a visa if your nationality requires one) is needed.
What is the difference between Tangier and Tangier Med?
Tangier city port is central; Tangier Med is a larger port about 40 km east, used mainly by the Algeciras routes and most car traffic.
