The classic "Danskebåten"

Norwegians call this route "Danskebåten" — the Denmark boat. It runs every evening year-round: board in Oslo, sleep on board, and wake up in Copenhagen. Since November 2024 the route has been operated by Go Nordic Cruiseline, which took over from DFDS; the ships and concept are unchanged.

Ships and cabins

Two cruise ferries sail the route: Nordic Crown (formerly Crown Seaways) and Nordic Pearl (formerly Pearl Seaways). A cabin is included, from inside cabins to Commodore class, alongside restaurants, bars and tax-free shopping.

Mini-cruise and cars

A popular option is the mini-cruise: a round trip with a cabin each way and a few hours in Copenhagen. You can also bring a car. Note that since March 2025 the ship sails direct, without the former Frederikshavn stop.
